School of Business & Professional Studies
The Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) teaches students the key concepts required to apply technology to manage data and allow it to be transferred between computers connected to the same network. Students learn how to support businesses in handling how data is gathered, stored, and used through courses in computer science, communications, and business. Upon completing this degree, students are qualified for jobs in technology focusing on the practical application of data usage. This degree can be completed fully online, in person, or a combination of each and in both 8-week and 16-week class formats. This pathway facilitates transfer to other CIS, IT (Information Technology), or MIS (Management Information Systems) programs across the University System of Georgia. In addition, students in this program can continue their education with GHC’s Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) degrees.
To qualify for graduation, students must meet all graduation requirements.
