School of Humanities
The Associate of Arts degree in Communication introduces students to key collegiate-level concepts and theories in the field of communication. Students will develop written and oral communication skills and examine cultural values, norms, and communicative behaviors. This degree program prepares students to succeed in a bachelor’s program in Media Studies, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Organizational Leadership, and many others. This program can be completed online.
To qualify for graduation, students must meet all graduation requirements.

One of these will be applied to fulfill Area B requirements, and the other will be applied to fulfill Area F requirements.

Student must take a minimum of 18 credit hours in Area F. The number of credit hours taken from this list depends on the number of credit hours taken under the “Area F Foreign Language” list, immediately above. So, if a student only takes 3 hours under “foreign language” the student must take at least 9 hours from this list in order to bring the Area F total hours to 18.
