School of Humanities
The Associate of Arts degree in English equips students with strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to think critically and creatively. Students will learn to evaluate audience and purpose, analyze and interpret a diverse range of texts, and explore literary genres and historical and cultural contexts. These skills are highly transferable and sought after in various professional settings, including law, journalism, publishing, education, and marketing. Students who earn their AA in English may transfer into a bachelor’s program in English, Creative Writing, Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, and many other communication-related fields. This program can be completed online.
To qualify for graduation, students must meet all graduation requirements.
